Red or Blue? Um...Purple?

I have honestly never been so torn before when it comes to voting. I have never had a doubt about who I would cast my vote for in the presidential elections; until now. There is no reason why, out of the many possible candidates for presidency, we have only these two to choose from. How is it that only two politcal parties can represent and speak for an entire nation of people? Are we really that simplistic as to be able to be boiled down and placed in one box or another? I have the option of choosing a candidate that I do not fully support or "throwing my vote away" by writing in. My question is...as a Christian, what exactly am I held responsible for? Getting a Republican into office eventhough I don't believe in 90% of what he has to say?? (but as long as I prevent a democrat from taking office everything will be fine) Or, actually writing in someone that I agree with fully eventhough it is perceived as a wasted vote? Doesn't God choose who runs our country? I know I have a duty to vote, but quite frankly, I'm tired of being manipulated and controlled by fear. I will NOT help send another Bush into office. I know I'm just going on a rant, but it's been a burden to me lately with all of the e-mails and news headlines. I'd love to just say "whatever happens, happens" and just remove myself from it all, but the truth is...I believe in making an educated decision and that's what I'm trying to do.

It shouldn't be either red or blue...there's got to be another choice!
