I've been in a very crafty mood lately. I am constantly wanting to do and make things with my hands. The other day I sat down with a large canvas and just painted...it was so theraputic, and there is just something about sitting back and looking at something that you yourself have made.
Noah and I have also been talking lately about trying to save money on clothes and also trying our hardest not to support the stores that use child labor factories to produce their clothing. We know there is no way to completely avoid this issue, however we can try to purchase most of our clothes from a second hand store thus not giving our money to the stores who sell the clothes first hand. So, we decided that we would try going to the Good Will and finding clothes that are good on their own or creating our own by using objects or patterns on one piece of clothing and cutting them out and sewing them onto another making it our own unique creation. We did this the other day and it was so much fun...and so much cheaper!
God created us to be creative beings and when we exercise that creativity (talent or no talent) there is a part of us that feels fulfilled and satisfied. Make the decision to do something creative this week and see how God can use it to teach and uplift you!
Next craft mission: create my own jewelry and learn how to knit or crochet so I can make scarves, hats, and gloves!

So far, it has been awesome to see you creating. You are so talented. I think you are right about being created to be creative. It is as if we are joining in the dance. I love you
Wow, Emily. Sounds like your doing well. Perhaps you'll take photographs of your crafts from time to time.
Just posted over at Noah's and thought I would here too. Thanks for pricking me on this - I need to explore it and really come to some personal conviction as you guys have. Love you!!
